1 — Arizona Cardinals (8–8)
There was a lot of hope for the Cardinals this year, I loved them before the season started. Kyler Murray had an amazing year finishing 5th in season average fantasy points among QBs. His performance took a step backwards after he suffered a shoulder injury.
Hopkins was Hopkins, he showed why he deserves the big bucks. It looks like this duo between Kyler and DeAndre will be great for years to come.
Losing Chandler Jones was a key lost early in the season. You can tell the defense was not the same after he suffered his season ending injury.
Starting the season 6–3 then missing the playoffs is not ideal, I hope this team can bounce back next year and make the playoffs.
2 — Las Vegas Raiders (8–8)
The Raiders looked very strong to start the 2020 season. Josh Jacobs started this season with 3 touchdowns and looked to be primed for a monster year. Then his production started to slow down, injuries played a big part into his performance. If this team wants to compete in 2021, they need Jacobs healthy and back playing good football.
One big takeaway for this Raiders football team is when they gave the Chiefs their only loss of the season, then proceeded to almost beat them again at home. The Raiders have talent, they need to be more consistent and fix things on defense.
3 — Miami Dolphins (10–6)
This one stings for the Dolphins. They finished second in the AFC East behind Buffalo. They were so close to making the playoffs. The big story was the quarterback situation for the Dolphins, they flip flopped between Fitzmagic and Tua for most of the year. The weird part is they actually pulled Tua in two games to replace him with Fitzmagic because of poor performance.
The big game changer was losing to the Broncos in week 11. You cannot lose to a below average team when you are fighting for the playoffs. This was a crucial loss, which would of a made the difference in them making the playoffs.
The Good: The Dolphins finally have their franchise QB in Tua, he showed flashes of greatness in his first year and should only get better. THEY ALSO HAVE THE 3RD OVERALL PICK. This is exciting for Dolphins fans, they get the 3rd pick because of their trade with the Texans last year for Tunsil. I can see a future battle for years to come between them and Buffalo now that the Patriots seem lost.
